Orthpaedics
At Methodist West Hospital, we work closely with Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons (DMOS) because we want you to have the very best care. This experienced group of surgeons was the first in the state of Iowa to perform a total knee replacement. The Orthopaedic Center of Excellence at Methodist West and Iowa Methodist perform more orthopaedic surgeries in Iowa than any other hospital system.
Maternity Care
The 12-bed maternity center includes private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms, allowing mothers to stay in one room for the duration of their stay. There is also a newborn nursery with one continuing care neonatal bed. Offering experienced staff and 24/7 on-staff neonatal support in partnership with Blank Children's Hospital.
Heart Care
At Methodist West, our highly trained physicians and professional staff are dedicated to providing each patient and their family with personal attention. We will make every effort to ensure that you and your loved ones are made as comfortable as possible from your time of admission until you are released for home.
Patient Care Facilitators
The first and only hospital in central Iowa to employ Patient Care Facilitators.
Surgery
The surgery department contains 14 private pre-operative rooms, six leading edge operating rooms, a cardiovascular catheterization lab, and an endoscopy suite.
